IP-6 inhibits free radical production and activity.  Research has shown that it slows the rate of cell division in cancer and tumor growth.  This allows cells to normalize and grow once in a controlled manner. IP-6 enhances the body's natural ability to kill existing tumor cells by boosting the activity of lymphocytes, the immune system's natural killer cells.  IP-6 reduces cholesterol and triglycerides and prevents blood clots, all of which are considered as contributory factors for heart attack.  IP-6 slows the formation and growth of a kidney stone's nucleus.  It prevents the accumulation of fatty deposits in the liver, which result in cirrhosis.

The primary ingredient, Inositol Hexaphosphate, a potent antioxidant found abundantly in whole grain and high fiber food (especially in the bran portion of rice) that is known for its ability to increase natural killer cell activity.  Many doctors and researches have tested IP-6.  Tests have been performed to identify the antitumor activity and results have shown significant reduction in tumor activity and incidence.  In vitro, experiments with K-562 Erythroleukemia Cell Line have revealed a reduction in cell population in a range of 19% to 36%.  Additionally the experiments showed a reduced cell growth and enhanced differentiation when IP-6 was present.  Research was also done on colon cancer cells in the HT-29 line.  Research results showed that IP-6 can inhibit cell proliferation and increase differentiation.  This makes it a candidate for use in human large intestinal cancer, in conjunction with chemotherapy or even as a possible prevention for chemotherapy.  Research was done in vitro and in vivo on the HepG2 Human Liver Cancer Cell Line.  The effect on growth and differentiation suggested there may be a role for IP-6 in therapy.   Researches have assessed that IP-6 is involved in signal transduction pathways, differentiation of genes, and cell cycle regulatory genes.  This data strongly indicates that treatment with IP-6 often results in reversion to normal phenotype.  In pilot studies, results have indicated that treatment with IP-6 may be effective in treatment of and prevention of mammary cancers.  More studies appear to be warranted. 

It appears that the presence of IP-6 is found in greatest quantities in plant foods that are high in fiber and may partially explain why a high-fiber diet may be associated with a lower incidence of particular cancers.  We also attribute this to the abundant and wide variety of phytonutrients found in the green and high-fiber plant foods.  With today's processing of grains and plant foods, the commercial growing methods and distribution methods of fresh foods, we need to supplement for basic phytonutrients and IP-6.  Therefore, we recommend that Immune Support 3, Alfalfa Power and Ultra-V be a part of a healthy supplementation program for boosting immunity, increasing the bodies' ability for cell differentiation and for your ability to resist infections.

Panax Ginseng Powder (Panax Quinque Folius) is one of the most widely used curative nutritional products in all of China and Asia. It is well-known as a longevity product.  In Immune Support 3 we use the powder rather than the extract to be sure we obtain all of the phytonutrients contained in Panax Ginseng.  When using an extract, we do not always get all of the phytonutrient value of a plant.  Panax Ginseng is well known as a demulcent, it is helpful for coughs, colds and chest congestion, reduces symptoms of feverish and inflammatory illness, can help relieve nausea and vomiting, increases physical and mental endurance, improves circulation, increases metabolic function, lowers blood pressure, protects the nervous system, combats fatigue, increases energy, normalizes body functions, increases sexual desire, reduces cholesterol strengthens the endocrine glands; stimulates the activity of RNA & DNA in your cells, thus helping retard the aging process and prevents cancer.

Constituents of ginseng include the panaxans, which helps mediate blood sugar (increases when low, decreases when high), and the polysaccharides that support immune function.  In treatment of infection and immune system attack, it is important to control blood sugar and support the overall immune function.  This ingredient is an important component of Immune Support 3 for all of the benefits it provides.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA), a super antioxidant, is very bioavailable and crosses cell membranes (works inside and outside cell walls).  ALA combats and prevents free radical damage, protects genetic material, slows aging, promotes the normalization of blood sugar, reduces the incidence of cataracts, protects against heart disease and cancer, protects cells on a molecular level through synthesis of glutathione, improves energy metabolism in the brain & chelates heavy metals.  ALA is synergistic with vitamins C, E and glutathione.  Most importantly it is a sulphur compound and as such can bind with minerals which is why it is know to aid in chelating and eliminating the potentially dangerous heavy metals that may be in our body from water, environmental pollutants or the food supply.

Green Tea Extract is derived from natural plants.  It activates thermogenesis and is a powerful antioxidant.  Flavonols are found primarily in green tea and berries.  Up to 30% of the dry weight of green tea leaves is catechins, a subclass of Flavonoids (phenolic compounds).  Scientists believe catechins to be one of the important active substances that gives green tea extract its cancer-preventive and possibly curative properties.  Flavonoids are antioxidants that help keep the arteries free from plaque, may lower cholesterol levels, protect against fungal parasites, herbivores, pathogens and oxidative cell injury, defend cells against carcinogens, curb the oxidation of LDL cholesterol and prevent blood clotting, act to prevent cardiovascular disease, and aids in regulating blood sugar levels.  The tannins found in green tea inhibit HIV-1 virus and inhibit cellular DNA and RNA.  This natural extract is one powerful addition to the antioxidant punch packed in Immune Support 3.

Bioflavonoids are found in a wide range of foods.  The Bioflavonoids in Immune Support 3 are from citrus and are high in flavonols.   Flavonoids aid in the absorption of Vitamin C and are linked with the reduced risk of coronary disease & inhibition of cancer-cell growth.  Citrus Bioflavonoids contain terpenes, linked to reduced risk of cancer & promote healthy microcirculation.
