Ultimate V-M is the balanced formulation for promotion of better health & an alkaline system. Most degenerative disease begins because our body is too toxic from acid forming foods & stress. When we take our daily vitamin supplement we need to do more than just take vitamins & minerals. We should have a digestible blend that contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, trace minerals, & supporting factors. This natural, nutrient rich formulation does just that. And like all of the products in this line, we know that instead of taking something that is acid forming into our body, we are taking an alkaline, high pH supplement. The Vitamin C Complex and synergistic factors promote the movement of nutrients to all parts of the body's systems. The digestive enzymes and high level of Lactobacillus promote total digestion of the nutrients and so that they will not be eliminated in our stool without our having used them. Additionally, these factors promote better digestion of the nutrients we obtain from our food all day. Our formulation is in a base of natural, whole food extracts and contains eye support factors, super antioxidants, support for improved mental function & mood, natural energy boosters and sugar control factors. This is a well-balanced blend to support a healthy and active lifestyle in today's stressful environment. Naturally, we still need to eat balanced diets and drink plenty of high alkaline water. Since the modern food supply is missing many of the nutrients that we expect due to the commercial farming methods, the time spent in the warehouses, and the food processing, we must look to supplementation to truly supply all the body needs for functioning at peak levels and to boost the immune system. This formulation also contains all of the lipotropic factors (choline, betaine hcl, inositol & methionine). Lipotropics prevent an abnormal accumulation of fat in the liver. Lipotropics increase production of lecithin by the liver thereby helping to keep cholesterol more soluble and lessening deposits in blood vessels. They also detoxify amines, which are by-products of protein metabolism and aide in converting fat into useful energy. By including the gymnema sylvestre and certain trace minerals, we also help promote level insulin function in the body. Consider the systems that are built into this formula. Below we have listed many of the ingredients that we have added, that may not be found in most daily vitamin supplements, with a little explanation of each. We believe that you will see why many people include this product in their daily supplement regimen. Vitamin A: Vitamin A (the beta-carotene portion is an antioxidant) promotes healthy vision, glands, hair, skin & bone growth & aids in fighting infection. Vitamin D3: Aids in formation of bone, teeth, body tissue, & cartilage. Prevents rickets & promotes a healthy heart, nervous system & blood clotting. Vitamin E: This antioxidant vitamin protects from free radical damage & maintains skin collagen, cardiac, micro-vascular, eye, nerve, skeletal & muscle health. Improves blood glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity. May also prevent onset of diabetes. Prevents oxidation of LDL improving cholesterol control. Vitamin E is an inhibitor of oxidation processes in body tissues. Vitamin K: Vitamin K is provided from phylloquinone and barley grass. These are natural plant sources that are very easy to assimilate. Vitamin K assists in the blood clotting function and may be involved with the mineralization of the bone. It also promotes growth & the electron transport mechanisms. Patients using antibiotics for a long period of time may get a vitamin K deficiency. Vitamin B1: Thiamine converts carbohydrates into energy aids in protein & fat metabolization, energy production, digestion, nerve function & maintains muscle tone. Vitamin B2 - Riboflavin: Riboflavin is required to complete several reactions in the energy cycle. Glutathione reductase is a riboflavin-dependent enzyme that converts oxidized glutathione (GSSG) back to reduced glutathione (GSH), and is then able to perform its antioxidant functions via glutathione peroxidase. Without sufficient riboflavin this conversion does not occur. It is important for nerve & eye function. Vitamin B3: This vitamin is available as niacin or niacinamide. We chose niacinamide because niacin can cause flushing in some individuals. Niacinamide opens up the superficial blood vessels thereby improving blood circulation & aids in utilization of GABA. Necessary for carbohydrate & protein metabolism, fat & hormone synthesis, digestion, & nervous system, it also improves insulin production by preventing damage to pancreas in Type I diabetes. Prevents oxidative damage to pancreas from activated immune cells. Pantothenic Acid: Pantothenic Acid is Vitamin B5. It aids in metabolism of protein, fat & carbohydrates. Promotes healthy skin & digestion & is a precursor to neurotransmitters. Vitamin B6: Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is involved in the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and lipids, including essential fatty acids. This vitamin is especially important in dependent enzymes that are involved in amino metabolism. Pyridoxine converts DOPA into dopamine, a critical neurotransmitter. Maximizes the conversion to noradrenaline in the brain metabolism and the synthesis of carotine. Vitamin B12: This vitamin is a complex crystalline compound that functions in all cells, but especially in those of the gastrointestinal tract, the nervous system, and the bone marrow. It is known to aid in the development of red blood cells in higher animals. It is essential for the functioning of all body cells, nerve & brain cells, & fat/protein synthesis. A deficiency or subtle insufficiency (not necessarily reflected by anemia) is now known to result in memory loss, personality and mood changes and fatigue. Biotin: Biotin is an essential cofactor for enzymes. It aids in the synthesis of hormones & cholesterol, promotes healthy growth, skin, hair, nerves, bone marrow, & oil glands, aids in metabolism of fats, proteins & carbohydrates, improves glucose tolerance in Type II diabetes & prevents damage to nerves resulting from deficiency. PABA: PABA, the "vitamin within a vitamin", occurs in combination with folic acid. PABA enables bacteria to synthesize folic acid. Protein breakdown and utilization and red blood cell formation depends on PABA. Folic Acid: Folic Acid aids in the synthesis of collagen & nucleic acid, is essential for red blood cell formation & amino acid metabolization. Has cardiovascular benefits. Vitamin C: Vitamin C helps iron absorption, aids in collagen synthesis & is a strong antioxidant (preventing free radical damage). It is linked with reduced risk of arthritis, asthma, cancer, cataracts, cognitive impairment, macular degeneration, impaired immune system & coronary disease. Dr. Linus Pauling pioneered research on this essential vitamin. Is promoted for wound healing, collagen formation, cancer prevention, endocrine & cardiovascular system, immune function & in diabetics promotes eye health. It is one of the least toxic substances known & any unused Vitamin C is eliminated quickly.
Citrus Bioflavonoids: Flavonoids aid in the absorption of Vitamin C and are linked with the reduced risk of coronary disease & inhibition of cancer-cell growth. Citrus Bioflavonoids contain terpenes, linked to reduced risk of cancer & promote healthy microcirculation. Calcium: Calcium is required for strong bones and teeth. Calcium works with factors for blood clotting, is needed for the release of neurotransmitters, muscular contractions & includes blood vessels related to hypertension. Required for absorption of Vitamin B12. It is linked with reduced risk of osteoporosis & possibly hypertension. Magnesium: Magnesium is needed for the health of bones, regulation of body temperature & energy, the reactions of ATP, 300 enzymes, & for nerve & muscle function. It is linked with reduced risk of abnormal heart rhythms, coronary disease, heart failure, diabetes and in combination with calcium and magnesium have been shown to work to prevent hypertension & osteoporosis. Magnesium is essential for calcium utilization. Calcium stimulates the muscles to contract & magnesium allows them to relax. As magnesium disappears from the muscles, calcium rushes in & the muscles tend to become tense or cramped. Potassium: Potassium reduces blood pressure & may reduce the risk of hypertension. It is required for ion exchange as an electrolyte. It aids in clear thinking by sending oxygen to the brain. Charges in the exchange between the sodium & potassium are essential for brain function and intercellular movement. Zinc: Zinc is a vital component of SOD (superoxide dimutase) & metallothionen. Zinc is associated with protein synthesis & supports the immune system by regulating production of T cells. It is essential to wound healing, tissue growth, insulin, reproductive organs & healthy blood. It is essential for normal function of many enzymes. People with diabetes generally have zinc deficiency. It increases general anti-oxidant status of the body. Copper: Copper promotes iron, cholesterol & lipid metabolism, bone growth, skin elastin, collagen & melanin pigmentation, synthesis of connective tissue, maintenance of the heart muscle, immune & central nervous system function. It functions as cofactor with SOD along with manganese & zinc. It maximizes the conversion to noradrenaline in the brain. Manganese: Manganese is an important antioxidant nutrient, as it functions as part of SOD. Aids in synthesis of carbohydrates, fat, cholesterol & enzymes. Promotes reproductive organ health & bone & connective tissue formation. Zinc, copper & manganese work together as co-factors with SOD to protect against cancer & heart disease, & promotes the development of sex organs and bone, supports immune function, the storage & release of insulin, the mobilization of vitamin A from the liver, & the stabilization of cell membranes. Boron: This trace mineral is essential for energy utilization, lipid & mineral metabolism, & electrical activity in the brain & immune function. Boron is required by your body in trace amounts for proper metabolism of calcium, magnesium, & phosphorus. Boron helps brain, hormone & cell membrane functions. Kelp: Kelp is the most bioavailable substance that contains over 50 trace minerals. We include this important ingredient to give the body all of the natural trace minerals that are required. Kelp forests occur in cold, nutrient-rich waters & normally are restricted to temperatures less than 20ºC. Kelp was the original source of iodine, being discovered by Courtois in 1812. Iodine does not occur in nature in the uncombined condition, but is widely, though sparingly, distributed in the form of iodides of sodium and potassium, in seawater, some seaweeds, and various mineral and medicinal springs. It is a very rich source of natural vitamins, minerals, and essential trace minerals, containing iodine, iron, sodium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, potassium, of vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D and E, plus amino acids. Kelp is especially high in iodine & provides the most natural base of potassium, sodium & magnesium that will be immediately usable by the brain to facilitate ATP function & fluid & nutrient movement. It is alkaline forming in the body. Selenium: Selenium is the cofactor for glutathione peroxidase (GPx). GPx is most active in liver and removes peroxides formed by free radicals, especially at low concentrations. This is an antioxidant with activity as a free radical scavenger & works in harmony with vitamin E. It is important for growth & development. Silicon: The importance of dietary "Silicon" in the proper maintenance of human health cannot be overestimated. Silicon is the second most abundant element on earth. It is a trace mineral required for integrity of skin, ligaments, tendons and bone and for the proper functioning of prolyhydroxylase (an enzyme) that is responsible for the formation of collagen in bone and elastin, cartilage and other connective tissues. Silicon is important for maintaining healthy skin, hair and nails and works in conjunction with the MSM in this formula. Scientists, beginning with Louis Pasteur, believed that silica could be used in treating many diseases. In the 1970's studies conduct by Dr. Edith Carlisle at UCLA revealed that silica is necessary for normal bone development and that optimal growth and skeletal development could not occur without it. When lacking in silica the following symptoms are exhibited: cardiovascular and arterial problems, fragile bones, joint deterioration, digestive disorders and weakened gums and teeth. Some scientists believe that silica is as or more important than calcium in maintaining bone strength. Studies have shown that supplementation with 40 mg per day will increase bone, teeth and gum strength and reduce hair loss. Iodine: Iodine must be present for proper glandular function and metabolism. Iodine feeds the thyroid, which controls metabolism. Iodine is important for thyroid disorders & obesity. Iodine deficiency may result in goiter, the enlargement of the thyroid. Most forms of iodine are not bioavailable. This formula uses kelp, the most bioavailable form of iodine. Molybdenum: Molybdenum is a component of a coenzyme essential for the activity of xanthine oxidase, sulfite oxidase, & aldehyde oxidase. It is especially important for the diet to aid in sulfite oxidation. Vanadium: Vanadium is a trace mineral, cofactor involved in insulin action. In combination with chromium, vanadium helps improve insulin function, improves blood glucose control in Type II diabetes, & is involved with lipid, cholesterol & neurotransmitter metabolism, fertility, thyroid function, bone & tooth development & hormone production. Phosphorous: Contained in the Cholinergenic Complex, phosphorous works with calcium to form the structure of bones and teeth. Phosphorous forms the high-energy bonds in ATP, is found in DNA and RNA. Produces energy, growth, healthy kidney function, muscle & nerve impulses. Phosphatidyl Complex (PC): Phospholipids are abundant in the brain. PC promotes brain metabolism & consists of cytidine & choline that activates the biosynthesis of structural phospholipid in the neuronal membranes, increases cerebral metabolism & acts on the levels of various neurotransmitters, including serotonin, acetylcholine, norepinephrine & dopamine. PC also includes Phosphtidyl Serine, Phosphatidyl Ethanolamine, & Phosphatidyl Inositol. These are crucial as building-blocks of brain cell membranes, important mainly for the fluidity, or flexibility, of brain cell membranes. Phosphatidyl Serine plays a critical role in normal neuron structure and cognitive function & promotes the brain's physiological processing of stress & promotes neuronal communication. It increases the neurotransmitter sites in the brain & is helpful because receptor sites disappear with age. It regulates the hormone cortisol required during times of mental & emotional stress. Choline: Choline is a cofactor of the B vitamins. It exists in combination with phospholipids that make up part of the brain & spinal cord tissue and the compounds are called lecithins. Choline is a lipotropic that is essential for fat transport, growth, & for carbohydrate and protein metabolism. It aids in emulsifying cholesterol so that it doesn't settle on arterial walls. It works well with inositol to utilize fats & cholesterol, & it also works well with methionine in detoxifying amines that are by-products of protein metabolism. DMAE: Studies show that DMAE, a naturally occurring substance in the body, can elevate mood & promote more restful sleep, help increase mental focus, clarity of thought and muscle tone, improve memory, concentration & learning, & decrease fatigue levels. Clinical studies have shown that DMAE is successful in treating learning disorders in children and is also effective in enhancing mental performance in adults. DMAE promotes the formation of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter. Inositol: Inositol, a simple carbohydrate found in the brain & central nervous cells, metabolizes fats & cholesterol & aids in transporting fat in the blood system. It is required for proper formation of cell membranes, aids in the redistribution of body fat, the lowering of cholesterol levels, is implicated in improving the transmission of neural signals in diabetics, is a member of the B-Complex group & is a lipotropic agent. Sulfur: Sulfur is found as part of the amino acids methionine and cysteine, and therefore is an important part of proteins.
Cysteine is part of glutathione a compound that helps to change peroxides into water by the action of glutathione peroxidase (an enzyme that has selenium as a co-factor). This blend contains L-Cysteine, dL-Methionine, and MSM, which provide sulfur. Sulfur bridges (-S–S-) between amino acids help to give proteins their 3-dimentional structure. Sulfur is required for building collagen & keratin, for digestion of protein, to produce synovial fluid for healthy joints, & as a component in every cell of the body. L-Cysteine: L-Cysteine is a sulfhydryl amino acid, a reducing agent, an antioxidant and a component of reduced glutathione (GSH). It is linked with the possible reduced risk of coronary disease & cancer. L-Carnitine: athletes have used L-Carnitine for longer workout periods. It is used in fat burners because it helps in converting stored fat into energy. It can also help in controlling hypoglycemia and thereby benefits diabetics. A deficiency can cause impairment of heart tissue. It supports lipotropic function. L-Methionine: L-Methionine shows antioxidant activity, as well as synergism with other antioxidants in relation to the autoxidation of lipids. As a lipotropic amino acid, it aids in reduction of fat & lowering of cholesterol. It detoxifies amines that are by-products of protein metabolism. Methionine acts as a catalyst for choline & inositol, speeding up their function. It also lowers histamine levels in the blood that can cause the brain to relay wrong messages, aids in removing toxic waste from the liver, promotes regeneration of kidney & liver tissue, affects hair follicle health & may be an antistress factor. L-Taurine: Taurine is made in the body and absorbed from food. Diabetics, infants & vegans have been found lacking in Taurine. This amino acid serves many function including aiding in the clearing of free radical waste, required for transportation of magnesium & potassium into the cellular structure, the normal functioning of the heart, gallbladder, eyes, and vascular system, in the brain, taurine acts as a neurotransmitter that inhibits anxiety, & aids in stabilizing cell membranes that are important in controlling epileptic seizure. L-Glutathione: This amino acid is made up of gamma-glutamic acid, glycine & cysteine. It acts to prevent oxidative stress in cells and reduce & detoxify free radicals. Catalase: Under certain conditions, H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) can form highly reactive and damaging free radicals. H2O2 and other peroxides are converted to water and oxygen by the iron-containing catalase (peroxidase) enzymes. Therefore, catalase compliments SOD activity. Lipoic Acid: Better known as Alpha Lipoic Acid, this super antioxidant recycles the vitamin antioxidants, promotes the normalization of blood sugar, reduces the incidence of cataracts, prevents free radical damage in the nerves & eyes, improves energy metabolism in the brain & chelates heavy metals. Lemon Oil: Lemon Oil contains terpenes, linked with reduced risk of cancer. Carnosol: Antioxidant phenolic compound in rosemary & sage that may prevent cholesterol oxidation & prevent cancer. Chaparral: Chaparral refers to a group of wild shrubs that grow throughout much of the arid western United States & parts of Mexico and is considered a strong antioxidant & blood purifier.
Bilberry: Bilberry has been shown to promote retinal health. Bilberry is similar to blueberry and grows in northern Europe, Canada, and the United States. The ripe berries and leaves contain beneficial anthocyanosides compounds. Anthocyanosides are potent antioxidants & they support normal formation of connective tissue & strengthen capillaries in the body. Blue Green Algae: Blue green algae is a whole food that is nutrient rich and alkaline forming in the body. It contains a broad range of nutrients in trace amounts that are extremely bioavailable. It is the oldest living organism on earth.

Cruciferous Vegetables & Cabbage: Dithiolthiones are organosulfur compounds that are abundant in cruciferous vegetables. These strong antioxidant vegetables aid the enzymes that fend off carcinogens and other outside invaders. They promote a strong immune system and may inhibit the development of cancer. Cruciferous vegetables also contain isothiocyanates & indoles, linked to retardation of the growth of breast cancer. Ginger Root: Aids in fighting colds, colitis, digestive disorders, flu & gas; it helps increase the secretion of saliva, is excellent for the circulatory system & helps increase stamina.
Borage: This is a water-soluble form of Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's) and has a 10% GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid, an Omega 6) content. EFA's cannot be made by the body and must be consumed. They are found in very high concentrations in the brain because they are needed for normal brain function and development. These are also essential for immune system functioning & cell metabolism. They form prostaglandins that promote relaxation of muscles, enhance blood flow by promoting relaxation of the blood vessels. Lactobacillus Sporogenes: Lactobacillus sporogenes is a beneficial bacterium that helps maintain a healthy balance of microflora in the intestinal tract. L.sporogenes does not require refrigeration to maintain its peak potency. Beneficial bacteria in the intestinal tract promotes resistance to food allergies, a stronger immune response, better digestion & absorption of nutrients, improved bowel movements, reduction of harmful cholesterol, produces lactase to reduce lactose intolerance, & reduces the side effects of antibiotics.
Betaine HCL: Betaine is a great source of methyl groups. Methyl groups can deactivate harmful substances in the body and convert them to helpful substances. High levels of homocysteine can increase the risk of heart disease. It is relatively easy to lower homocysteine levels by taking methyl rich TMG, converting it to helpful methionine, a beneficial amino acid. Bromelain: Bromelain, a proteolytic enzyme, is plant-based (pineapple primarily). It has a broader range of pH activity, to better aid in the digestion of food & remains active throughout the entire digestive tract. It is, therefore, extremely bioavailable. Since it is not specific, it can aid in the break down of a wider range of proteins. Additionally, plant based enzymes do not interfere with natural functioning in the body & have no side effects. As importantly, it promotes healing of inflamed & injured tissue. It has been found to reduce postoperative swelling, swelling, bruising & to reduce pain. It has also been found to be effective for patients suffering from sinusitis. It is a natural blood thinner. Papain: Papain comes from unripe papayas. Papain is the most widely used proteolytic enzyme, belonging to the thiol protease group. Papain has a rather broad specificity. It hydrolyses synthetic substrates such as trypsin and produces more extensive hydrolysis of many proteins than other proteases. Gymnema Sylvestre Extract: Gymnema sylvestre, is a hypoglycemic agent. When combined with chromium formula, alpha lipoic acid & vanadium (as we do in this formulation) it will maximize insulin function. For centuries this ingredient has been a safe Ayurvedic treatment for diabetes in larger doses. MSM: As a sulfur donor, MSM is one of the most important donors for this mineral. Sulfur is the fourth most prevalent element in the body. Sulfur is required by every cell to produce energy at cellular levels. Sulfur is a significant donor for over 150 compounds in the body including structural tissues (collagen, keratin), amino acids (methionine, taurine, cystine, cysteine) and serum proteins (transferrin, albumin, immunoglobulins), production of bile acids for digestive purposes, maintaining the three dimensional conformation of proteins required for their activity, binding foreign chemicals and allergies of the mucosa of the gastrointestinal & respiratory tracts, as a component of B vitamins thiamine and biotin for protection of skin and hair.
